The concept was great. However, the product came up short in lacking flavor in the masa as it was very bland. The inside of the tamale wasn't exceptional nor as authentic as I would have liked for the traditional tamales they provide. Not to mention its way over priced. In the future I will probably look else where for authenticity.
Delicious food and affordable prices! I took a friend recently and now Casa de Tamales is her go to place for dinner!
I'm in love with Casa de Tamales! Where else can you get delicious vegan tamales? This place made my Christmas Eve for sure. Ordered half dozen each of the portabello/asparagus and spinach/artichoke. And the sweetie hibiscus lemonade tea is sooo good! Im in a pure state of bliss right now.

Tried the carnita tacos today ... FANTASTIC! The best I've had in Fresno, for sure.
I love Mexican food, but tamales have been my least favorite because I do not like lard. Casa de Tamales doesn't use lard, and their handmade tamales (seven types plus some sweet types) are excellent, so they're back on my menu. I look forward to trying their citrus marinated chicken carnitas and salad.
Best tamales, ever!! I also love their rice and beans. Everything has so much flavor!
The best tamales in town, and the owner and staff are excellent. I recommend the blueberry tamale.
