Thank you my buddy Jonathon Loucks and the staff at Carvers for your service and hospitality last week for my son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. Everything was great...family, friends, food, service...I would recommend it!
Great food, reasonable drink prices, fun crowd and great music on Fridays/Saturdays - A great combination.
Filet delicious; prime rib mediocre. Ambiance good; service mediocre- waiter was good, but when assistants brought out food, they had no idea who each dish was for and had to ask, which is just not proper for a fine restaurant. Won't go out of my way to return. Sorry-

Hubby and I went 2 weeks ago for the first time and really enjoyed our dinners. Liked it so much we took my Mom back last night to celebrate her birthday. Steaks were cooked to perfection and we love the old world charm. Will definitely be returning.

Every time I come to San Diego I go to Carvers. It has a cozy feel of an old fashioned supper club. The stuffed mushroom appetizer is excellent, as are their salads. I have only had the steak there, however the fish entrees look great too.. maybe next time! I had the creme brûlée for dessert and my son had the mud pie which was recommended by our server and he was right, it was very good and enough for 2-3 people. Great friendly service, too!
My wife and I were at the Rancho Bernardo Inn for a golf weekend with friends. The golf course starter, Jerry, recommended Carver's. We're glad he did. Each dinner was outstanding! I had the Texas Chili Oil Ribeye steak and my wife had the Maple Glazed Pork Chop with Apple Chutney. We shared a bottle of wine and had a great Mud Pie dessert.
