I have a harrowing experience for home buying with CARUSO HOMES. We saw a house and we liked it and confirmed the very next day. After continuous followup and multiple emails and messages we discovered the price was raised by almost 40k and in 2 days later the house was sold without even dropping a courtesy email to us. Although this is a Sellers market I felt betrayed and the builder and his agents had no professional behaviour. It is highly disappointing.

Searching for a new home builder is worth it. Appreciate reading the feedback. Too many issues with this builder, so I think I'll pass on purchasing one of their homes. Is there anyone out there that would recommend this builder solely based on the quality of their work? Professionalism is important, but the workmanship needs to supersede that. I’VE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH CARUSO. My Limekiln Farm house was great until the first significant rain hit. My side and backyard became flooded from the swale designed into my plan. The swale produced a river that started at the side of my house and ran all the way through the backyard. The swale captured rain not only from my house but my higher-elevation neighbors as well. I am a REALTOR®. On Aug 2nd, I and my clients visited the model to write a contract on the Kingsport model. The builder told us then that for every 2 houses they sold they were increasing price by $5,000. For that reason, my clients were ready to put everything in writing that very day, Aug 2nd. Barry Chappelle, the sales rep for the community, had issues with the Caruso software and picking certain options my clients wanted. Understand the selected options were NOT anything custom. July 2020 ~ Caruso is one of the worst home builders. Initially, we thought our house was great, but after moving in, one problem after another has arise. From missing flashing in the roof that caused a leak in my home, to missing installation in the front door and parts of the roof, to a poor watered down paint job, it has been one thing after another with Caruso Homes. I highly recommend obtaining a private home inspection and don't rely on their contractors. In the process of going through the legal system now.

Great sales team, but everything changed after signing. It took 19 months to complete. Over budget. Quality issues. Don't be fooled by the model. Poor communication and customer service. Buyers beware.

Buyers and New Builders Beware. Most of these 5 star reviews are probably friends and family. Some of them sound so fake that they must be staff. We are still building, but it's been an awful experience so far. We regret our decision to build with Caruso. Hopefully that will change.
