Wish I never went - Worst Haircut EVER! – I have never been one to write a review but I feel the need to express how upset I am after my first and last haircut at Carter Barnes. The receptionists are rude and unfriendly, the stylist clearly did not listen to what I wanted. I am now out $150 for a simple haircut and waiting for my grow to back! Completely overpriced and just all around not a very good experience! I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone!
very unprofessional!!!! – The alpharetta location was not worth the money or the time. The customer service was the worst I have ever seen. They acted stuck up and much like high schoolers. They just stand in the corner talking amongst themselves and how no concept of work ethics. Did not care about anything other then taking your money. I was unsure of how to get there and the people couldn't help me by any-means because they don't know the area. The stylist did not listen. I will NOT be going back!!!
My hair has never looked better – I have been using Ray @ Carter Barnes for over a year. He cuts and colors my hair like no one else. My hair used to be nice but I had to have a regimine every morning to straighten and control it being that it was just frizzy. He started cutting it and put layers into it and showed my how to get it to curl, now I have a full lush curly head of hair with perfect color. I recommended him to everyone that I know and now several of my friends use him and they have never looked better. Great Job ... read more
NOT a class act... – Carter Barnes at Phipps Plaza, Atlanta. I've gone twice. Prior to visiting Anne for first time, I had gone from long to short, and it's traumatizing. I went there because I saw someone at work whose short hair was cut really well. On my 2nd visit it was late on a weekday (tired, hungry) there wasn't enough time to do anything I expected to get done because the "front desk" only booked a 1/2 -hour for a 1-process color (!). Worst haircuts ever – I initially starting going to Carter Barnes because of its convenience to home/work. However, after 2 bad haircuts, I will not go back. I don't even think my hairdresser looked at my hair while he was cutting it. He was too busy talking to other coworkers... And not to mention, the receptionists there are very rude, making the whole experience very impersonal. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.
Don't go there to get your hair done – Have been using the same eyebrow lady for 15 years, she was the best of the best of Atlanta, unfortunately she worked at Carter Barnes -- I don't look like a homeless, bag lady but somehow I always got treated like one when I went in there. Rude a the front desk, in the back, everywhere, for all the years I've had to go in there to get the best eyebrow arch in Atlanta. Serious Attitude Problem and overpriced – I was impressed after my first visit to Carter Barnes. The colorist did a great job, she colored my hair exactly like I wanted, and although they were pricey I felt it was worth it. I was 15 min late to my second appt. My stylist scolded me. The color was good this time, but not as good as the first. When I went to pay, I had been charged more than the first time..only my first visit I got a full foil, this time I got a partial foil. Great Service, Great people – I have been a client at Carter Barnes on Paces for over 5 years. They give beautiful color and cuts. All the stylists are so talented and are very experienced. I never feel uncomfortable in anyone's chair. I have never had a single problem getting an appointment...the receptionists are so helpful and not at all snobby as with so many salons. Now that I found this salon, I will never go anywhere else. Be sure to try the spa services...the facials are magnificent and the manicure/pedicures devine.
