Amazing place! So beautiful, camp grounds are well kept, every day there was someone that cleaned the bathrooms, people were friendly and there's so much to do from the Seal Sanctuary to the tide pools to the breweries and shops in town. We can't wait to go back! Highly recommended!

Carpenteria has become our #1 place to play!! Always family-friendly and clean! For camping, lounging, BBQing, birthday parties, surfing/swimming, hiking, biking, rentals, delicious restaurants, historical landmarks etc. BASICALLY FUN FUN FUN !!!
The beach has nice bathrooms but the sand has to many sticks or branches that hurt your feet. It also has to many bug like things in the sand that jump around when you move the sand. The part I hated the most was the tar that the beach had. Yes tar my sandals and feet were full of tar from the beach sand. Gross!!!! Indeed, i had to wait until I came home to clean that off my feet. I'm assuming it's what ever is leaking from the boat looking things in the ocean.
Lifes good as long as you don't mind 20 kids and there bicycle parade
