The State of California should ashamed of the itself for the way it takes care of the camp grounds. Such a beautiful location but the grounds are not taken care of the only thing worse is what they don't do at Emma Wood State campground. Great sites that could be world class but are becoming dumps with little care provided by the State. They collect the fees but don't put anything back into the sites.
Love the beach area. Clean restrooms. I like the improvements being made to the area.
I loved it but I do have to complain about the tar. My daughter and niece's had tar on their water shoes and body really. You could even smell it . Something has to be done about that asap.
