Luv it small beach town quiet walks on beach n town locals are nice not high priced food good n reasonable nice place to stay the beach was fabulous n not over crowded
My family and I were there for the first time. We are tiered of Santa Monica and Venice beach and were told to go to Carpinteria state beach by friends. I must say that I loved the view and the people, but the bathrooms were disgusting and the beach needs to be cleaned off of all the ocean debris in the sand. This would solve the bug and smell problem, and as for the tar, it was minimal on our visit. Oh and parking needs to be addressed.. We still had a wonderful day and will return.
I loved the beach, first visit. Will come back, soon I hope.
