Consumer Beware! I am a nurse and researched Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine. While I was impressed with the credentials of the physicians, I was not impressed with my first (and last) encounter. Despite the fact that I was a new patient, there was no health history taken. While waiting in the reception area, there was no health history to complete. The physician came into the exam room with no computer, pen/paper or questions other than did I have any medical problems and why was I here. I was in the exam room ... read more

Dr. Hart I love this doctor's office! While it is difficult to get an appointment for a physical (usually they book about two months out), it is easy to get a same-day "sick" appointment. Dr. Hart and his nurse, Amy, are wonderful. They care about my children and give them plenty of attention. I also like that the office has an x-ray machine in-house. No more running to the emergency room. The office personnel are professional and efficient, and I've never waited more than five minutes to see the doctor. I cannot say enough ... read more

Only The Best Care I have been going to Dr. James Stevens for many years and have nothing but high praise for the quality of his care. I also feel very comfortable with his nurse Karen. I can't understand why anyone would give this practice a low rating. Dr. Stevens always explains everything to me and also allows time for any questions I may have. I always tell friends about how very satisfied I am with the care that I am given. Be assured you are getting the best care possible.

Friendly Doctors, extra services With 6 providers that can handle family practice as well as sports medicine, this is the place to go. They have an onsite lab and radiology facilities as well as a dispensary so you can save a trip to the drug store. They offer Saturday hours, have a website detailing all of their services (www.cfpsm.com) and have online appointment making. PROS: Extra Services CONS:

Horrible practice This practice located in Cary and North Raleigh are the most arrogant doctors I've ever had the displeasure of working with. They wait for their turn to speak while discounting anything you tell them regarding your health issues. You are definitely not allowed to not accept medications from them that you do not feel are necessary for your overall health. You are definitely not in control of your health and wellbeing - these medical "gurus?" are. I also have one question that has loomed over me since joining... read more

Wonderful Doctors & Nurses I have only had wonderful care from the doctors and nurses at this practice. Dr. James Blount always takes time to listen, as well as to explain things in understandable non-medical jargon ways. His patients can feel like they are in excellent hands with him because of his medical expertise and his personal care and concern for patients. He also focuses on health of whole person - mind, body, healthy living -- not just on the immediate symptom or issue.

Carolina Family Practice is a great practice the Raleigh office is great! Dr. Formen is a wonderful doctor and his 2 nurses are nice everytime I am there. They are specializers in sports care too and so are the other doctors there. The doctors are all very smart and took time to listen to what I had to say. I will continue to go to the Raleigh office. The Cary office is too crowded though.

Great doctors All of the doctors are very friendly, the staff is great, and they make every effort to help their patients. Their onsite lab, x-ray, and the sports medicine backgrounds come in handy if you have an injury. Plus they have pictures of the Carolina Hurricanes on the walls, which my 4 year old son loves. There's also another office in Raleigh now.

Great Place! I switched to Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine in Raleigh because they are conveniently located in the Healthpark building where my gym is. I don't know what happened when some of these other people went but Dr. Robertson has ALWAYS heard me out about my health concerns and worked with me on my health goals. I don't think a visit has to last an hour if we can get it all done in 5 - 10 minutes. Everyone in the Raleigh office is friendly and efficient. Whenever I need to get in (cold, etc.) I never have ... read more
