The remodel is beautiful -- the interior of Carmella's is very well done. Modern, chic. The drink list is amazing, from wine on tap to a vast array of infused spirits and creative cocktails. The menu has totally changed and all I have to say is WOW! The food was AMAZING! From the meatball small plate I shared with my husband to the crab bisque... Which was to die for! Came here for the New Year's celebration. I loved it. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff was top notch. Carmella was a wonderful host as always. The crab bisque is to die for. Ryan was my server and he was attentive and polite. I also love the throwback drinks. Tina made my very first Sazerac and it is one of my favorites so far. From the fireplace in the dining area to the moose head above the bar to the stain glass windows, it sets the atmosphere which is cozy and inviting. I hope to return soon.
They have a bourbon passport that is awesome!! I tried the deviled eggs, absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend this gem on the south side.
