I have bought two vehicles from Carmax in a row. Love the service and the car care Max program that I got with my warranty from them on the first vehicle. On the second vehicle I have had the same problem four times in a row and they had to send it to Ford to fix the vehicle, because it was a Ford expedition. Trying to buy a truck, and really don't feel like they are the most honest place around. Getting the run around and double talk from the salesman.
If I could give this store a zero I would. I purchased my vehicle from them two years ago, we purchased the maxcare program. Great right? My front axel was busted from the day I bought it, $150 for them to order the wrong part the first go around, then it was problem after problem they kept thinking was wrong with the vehicle. The absolutely most ridiculous car shopping experience of my life. I come in April, interested in trading my Challenger R/T for an SRT. I get my car appraised, and of course it is the "lowball," carmax number. Out of my experience with Carmax the sales part has been great. Now the reason for the 1 star is for the service department. Seeing my recent purchase from there is around 2 weeks ago and now I am having to return for the third time for a repair. The first two times was for issues that was found before I purchased the vehicle and they agreed to repair. Winston Salem Sales Experience - Great Service - Poor DO NOT COME TO CARMAX FOR SERVICE AND WAIT FOR YOUR CAR. They will make you an appointment for 08:00,, but there is no comfortable place to sit, no place to get some work done, and the janitor will chastise you if nature calls and you have to go to the bathroom. (Seems you have to walk through his territory to get there.)
