Fantatic Mexican Food My family absolutely loves this place! The food is great! The margarita in a mug is an excellent deal. We are always seated promptly and experience great service.
Best place around! We love going to this restaurant. Of course, we have our favorite dishes, but we love to try something new on occassion. The margaritas are better than most places around, and the queso is not to be missed. We always love going to this place with our friends, or just to grab a quick meal.
Excellent My family loves Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican Cafe. Fom the time you arrive and start eating the chips and salsa to the last bite of your meal, this is the place to go for Mexican food. The menu inclides several combination meals and since I like to have a variety that is what I usually choose. Everything I have tried on the menu has been delicious and arrives in a reasonable amount of time. The food is hot off the frill and ingredients are fresh. Boy you people are easy to please Carlos O'Kellys is a big chain ameri-mexican place just one step up from Taco Bell. The food is bland and predictable. The salsa is flavorless. The service is average for this type of restaurant. There are other more authentic mexican restaurants in town. Try Fiesta Del Sol for better food and maybe Reynaldos for better salsa, though it's hard to find good salsa anywhere. And nobody has good, fresh guacamole or real pico de gallo.
love their chips and salsa ill stop in just to grab a bag of chips and a container of salsa and guacamolie. they have fantastic margaritas and i like their enchilada de monterray too
i love mexican i love mexican food and carlos o kellys is one of my favorite places to go. all the chips and salsa i can eat and their chicken picado is always great too. dont forget a jose quervo margarita and its all good.
eh I don't have much to say about this place. For one thing, it is extremely busy ALL the time. If you want to be seated within 20 minutes of arriving, be sure to make a reservation. The drinks are over priced, the food does taste good if you don't know much about mexican food. I reccommend the chimichangas but other than that, not great, a little boring.
The best Mexican In Town! This is the only place to go for great Mexican food in Cedar Rapids. I love to go there and eat. Everything from the Sancho/Monterrey to the Picado to their enchiladas...the list could go on and on... Plus they have the best margarita's and daqueri's around...If you are in the mood for Great Mexican food, Carlos is the place to be! PROS: Have great Take Out!!! CONS: Absolutely Nuttin!
