Im from Pennsylvania, probably about 5 hours away, and we made a trip this weekend to NYC and planned on stopping and grabbing some sweets! I am a HUGE fan of Buddy and the family and was HOPING to run into SOMEONE from the tv show but even tho I didnt i was still extremely thrilled that i was able to finally make my entrance into this store! Absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the stop!!!
Very over hyped and over priced. Stuff was very good, but not great. Cheesecake a bit dry. Cannolis good but not worthy of Ferrsras.
The service was perfect and the cupcakes were even better!
We loved it, quick service and friendly staff. Beautiful shop, parking was a bear but worth it! More seating would be nice.
My daughter loves the show, so on our way to Connecticut we stopped in to surprise her. She loved being able to watch the decorators work on cakes right there. Everything was delicious - especially the caramel lobster tail and the cannolis were the best I've tasted. One cupcake, 2 cookies, 4 cannolis, a caramel lobster tail, 2 chocolate covered strawberries and 2 mini cheesecakes ran us a little over 50 bucks - spend over $35 and get a Carlos travel mug as a gift. This Famous Bakery dates from 1908, maybe the show gave it interational fame, but well deserved. wonderful pastries with not too much sugar so the flavor is balanced. Very recomended to visit.
