About this business

Cap's on the Water is the epitome of casual yet refined oceanfront dining. Here it's not out of the ordinary to see flip-flops alongside suits and ties. The kitchen serves local seafood dishes with a Mediterranean twist and great bottles of wine from the restaurant's extensive cellar. For some mesmerizing sunset views, be sure to ask for a table on the outdoor deck. Just make sure you bring your camera.

Expensive, but the ambiance and presentation is outstanding! Portions are a little on the small side for our teenagers!

We ordered the trio for 24.99 only to get prepackaged small peices of fish, the crab cakes were extremely salty and tasted like it was made only of stuffing. They served the meal with 5 hush puppies only to fill the spot on the plate. The mayport shrimp was the ONLY part that was decent about the meal, simply because they were actually house prepared. I highly recommend a different establishment if you want a quality an... read more

Business response:

Cap's makes everything in-house and does not use any "pre-packaged- meals" or sauces. Fresh fish is costly these days and tastes differ obviously. Our crab cakes are Parmesan crab cakes and have a different flavor. Better salty than bland.

Great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was so-so. We prefer Harry's.
