I Bought a new 2018 Silverado from Capitol Chevrolet. The transmission started giving me issues at 3400 miles. I was driving on the freeway when the truck started shifting into a false neutral and almost caused me to get into a life threatening accident multiple times. They “fixed” the truck, but it still has transmission issues. I recently moved to Austin from out of state. I took my vehicle to the service center at Capitol Chevrolet for a vehicle inspection. At Capitol, I was informed that I need license plate lights, a state requirement, and was quoted a labor rate of $150/hour. I told Capitol that I would take the vehicle somewhere else to get it fixed. My wife and I visited Captiol Chevy with good credit and left with significant lower credit score because they did 8 hard pull inquires without our consent. I have never experienced such a fraudulent act. Additionally, the car that we were interested in was 3,000 cheaper at Henna Chevy. Capitol Chevrolet located on the Austin TX motor mile was the worst experience I have had in the past four years. We do not run a customer's credit without authorization. Per the credit reporting agency Experian, multiple credit pulls (sometimes called shotgunning) are considered as a single inquiry. Specifically Experian says "Because credit scoring systems count multiple auto loan inquiries as a single inquiry, shotgunning does not affect a person’s ability to qualify for credit." Capitol Chevrolet, Austin TX...... Recent oil change took 1 1/2 hours. Filled out survey, expressing my dissatisfaction. Received an immediate phone call from the assistant service manager with an apology; explanation of changes that were taking place to avoid that in the future; and a complimentary oil change. Appreciate that response and the assurance that the future will be better. It changed my review!
