This review is on Dr. Cohen. I have seen Dr. Cohen for 25 years, I followed him because I liked his bedside manner and he is a great doctor. Very thorough explained everything to you. He diagnosed me with MVP back in 2010, I now see a cardiologist for the condition. He has taken care of me and my family for all of these years as well. We are very upset about him retiring. The office is surprisingly large. The staff is wonderful! They are courteous, pleasant, and efficient. I enjoy visiting and positive my medical needs will be met.
After reading several negative reviews of this office, my experience, unfortunately, aligns with them. Dr. Cohen's nurse, Joanne, was quite rude to me over the phone, which was disappointing. I’ve since switched to a different primary care office that treats patients with more respect. Additionally, Dr. Cohen initially supported prescribing me a particular medication, but once my insurance denied coverage, he abruptly changed his stance. In hindsight, it's probably for the best that Dr. Cohen has recently retired.
I finally found a doc that speaks my language. Woman english! Christina Chovanes is one of the best i had in 60 years. I wish shed go fulltime. We need compentacy like her.
I've seen Dr. Cohen twice. I went for an appointment discussing my refills on my prescription and my appointment mightve well have been about my weight. He started unprompted conversations about my weight that I've NEVER expressed concerns about once and I found it very unprofessional. He ASSUMED it was something I was concerned about and began suggesting different medications, diet plans and asked if I have a gym I go to, and began saying I should eat super healthy as well as begin working out.
