Staff were great but the room wasn't cleaned properly.
We booked a suite for June 19th and 20th. We only stayed one of the two nights (before checkout time) to move next door to another hotel because of the condition of our room and the hotel in general. Upon entering the smell of incense was overpowering and immediately began to affect my breathing issues. Going up to our room the elevator door and walls looked like they had been cleaned with dirty water. Our room was no better. Had a really nice stay at this hotel in Hoover. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful, they made the check-in smooth and answered all my questions patiently. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.
The rooms are okay. Several rooms had issues with leaking a/c units inside the room. Pipes were clogged pretty often. Some rooms have a smell possibly due to mold that could be forming in and under the carpet where the a/c units are leaking. Overall, the property was quiet. The staff was helpful most times, but not always the most friendly.
