This company should be investigated for fraud, unethical practices and illegal behavior. Filed an application on July 8th 2023 at Camden Sedgebrook Apartments. After I did my application it came back in seconds saying I needed to contact the leasing office. It stated that my rent to debt income ratio was unsatisfactory. That should have been a denial. This review is in reference to the Camden Gallery apartments in Charlotte. I moved out of my unit on April 22, 2023 and went rent responsible. I was told prior to move-out that it was not legal for the complex to treat my unit differently than other units when marketing it nor that they were legally allowed to make double rent on my unit. They removed my unit from the website on May 15th yet are claiming that I need to continue to pay until June 26th which is when the new tenant moves in. This apartment company is absolutely unethical and unprofessional. As a Realtor who has worked in the business for 6 years I have never worked with a worse company. As many know, we Realtors work on a commission-only basis and are compensated by apartment management companies for bring our clients to their communities. Camden had a $1000 referral fee/commission listed and an invoice was sent by my billing team only a few days after my client moved in. Beware of this Apartment company. I signed the longest lease 15 months, always paid on time. Fully cleaned the apartment when I moved out. It still wasn't enough for this place. I had multiple random charges to me last bill after moving out for sewer, water trash. Its didn't even make sence. I never seen a break down like that when I lived there. Reference Camden Potomac Yard Apartments. I had to vacate my apartment early. The early termination and two months' notice was not an issue, I understand that I had a lease and was responsible. The Manager told me that if I turned in the keys before my end date and somebody rented the apartment before that end date that I would receive a credit for the dates that the new person was paying rent. Place should be investigated for fraud, company charges multiple monthly fees for services that are not provided, scummy business practice at best, illegal at worst. This company violated their agreement on multiple occasions with no just compensation for such violations. Would recommend staying away from this company and its affiliates at all cost.

Wish I could give -5 stars. My truck was stolen from this complex due to useless security patrol who sits on their phones and show off their flashing blue light and a lack of security cameras. When I asked the office why we even have security the GM of the complex gave me the response, "Well Houston has police but still has crime." I've never heard a more disrespectful and careless response to a paying tenant/customer. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Camden sold the apt complex without letting tenants know. Allowed all kinds of people in without checking their background before selling. Now we are stuck with car burglaries every month, rims and tires of cars are been stolen over night. The now new management is non responsive about this problem.
