Was excited to actually come and habe a chance to try it and asked to sit outside the young man asked one of the servers and she was rude and was like sure. So sat outside just 2 plates 2 waters and no menu. 10 min as the young man was leaving he asked if anyone came advised no he went in and came out and said someone would come another 15 min no one so we got up and left absolutely ridiculous
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my guys...Dad, son and boyfriend :) Enjoyed the lump crab and shrimp capellini and the creme brule. Always a treat at Cafe Gelato!

Caffe Gelato is one of Newark's (and Delaware's) hidden dining gems. We always have a great meal and service whenever I (or my friends or family) have eaten there.
I went there for a shower. The food was yummy. The staff was friendly. The parking was conveniently located behind the restaurant. The bathrooms were clean. It was a great place for a party.
Definitely recommended. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for and the quality is top shelf.
