As dive bars go, and I LOVE my dive bars- this my new go to when I visit New Orleans!
I use to live around the corner, never had any issues between either of the 2 owners I have seen it pass through... Great diverse place to go, great service.
Dirty. Drinks are weak. Nothing to look at. Smells like something died in the back and I found a fly in my drink.

Unlike many of the 1 star reviewers- I've actually been here many times. Extremely affordable drinks, very down to earth bartenders and owner. The crowds here are always welcoming and we always make friends when we go. I used to go see Pete when he was still a bartender at another local bar, and he's successfully run Prytania Bar for several years now with that insight.
