We ate two breakfasts and one dinner here, partly because it was only two blocks from our hotel, but also because it was such good food. Portions were generous - even breakfasts. I had pancakes one day and a good-sized omelet the next. My Thai chicken salad was good, and my friend said his Tortellini Mason was to-die-for. The service was a little slow, even though it wasn't real busy the times we were there. But in spite of that, we still returned to eat there again, as it was worth it.

Had breakfast here and what a treat. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the atmosphere was buzzing. I had egg whites with chorizo that had a great little snap to it. The nine grain toast was also very good. They really just serve great tasting food. It would be worth returning for lunch or dinner.

I found this restaurant the last day of my trip close to my hotel. The service was excellent, the food was fresh, and a wonderful value.

My husband and I discovered this little cafe on the first morning of our stay, and continued to eat there every day till our trip ended. Although we could have breakfasted at The Hilton, we were told that the nearby restaurants were good and we were very pleased that we ventured round the corner to this delightful cafe. Even when they were busy and we had to wait for a table, it was only a 5 minute wait in the seating area at the front of the cafe. Service was excellent and the coffee they served was even better! Suggested to us by our hotel staff. Was not disappointed. Soups are homemade. Clam chowder and pumpkin soup were awesome. Nice selection of sandwiches and comfort food. Homemade desserts looked good but we were too full to try!

We found this cafe a few years ago when we visited San Francisco for MacWorld and have been going here ever since. The food is awesome. We've never had anything that we didn't like. Occasionally they can get pretty busy and the service suffers a little. Overall though we think it's nearly perfect.

Went here for the first time tonight. after seeing a movie at the metreon we were looking for a small place not too fancy or pricey or a tourist trap. I had the New York Steak with veggies and pumpkin soup. Food was excellent for the price and was just as good as some high end places I've been to in the area INCLUDING Morton's. The staff was very attentive. Bottom line-fresh tasty food in a casual atmosphere

I recently enjoyed brunch at Cafe Mason with a group of a dozen friends. My response to the experience is "Wow!". Everyone in our party more than enjoyed their dining selection. All of the Benedicts are super. The service was A+; the kitchen was working overtime to get our plates out in record time. 

We so enjoyed our lunch here. The cilantro basil pesto on the Vegetali sandwich was amazing. The bread was tasty and fresh. The house vinegarette dressing on the side salad was also very good. Great service as well. I would definitely return for either breakfast or lunch and would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
