Since 1862. Open 24/7. It's a NoLa institution. Go here and try the beignets once and then go try the beignets at Cafe Beignet. These aren't bad at all, but they aren't best. Cafe Beignet for the win.
Don't forget it is CASH ONLY.
The hot chocolate is made with water. Don't ask for milk or whipped cream. *eyeroll*

Best coffee ever!!! And beignets are spectacular!!
The challenge is to not get the powdered sugar on you face. When in NOLA this is a must beignets (3) and the cafe au lait. Go really late at night or during the week. Wait can be very long.
