Must visit place in NOLA. Open 24/7! These beignets are especially good after 3 hurricanes and a night out with friends.
No trip to New Orleans is complete till you visit cafe du monde. Beignets and cafe au lait are worth the wait. Use the powdered sugar from the beignet to sweeten the coffee.
It's coffee and donuts. People line up for a long time to have coffee and donuts. That doesn't make sense to me.
Just walk in and sit down. Don't wait in the line unless you really want to look like a tourist. Be sure to bring cash.
