Hit up New Orleans famous beignets for shorter lines. It's maybe one or two blocks away
Sit by the outer fence late at night and watch the mice and rats scurry about beneath the benches.
They don't serve cream or half and half with the coffee :( They will put milk in the coffee in the back, but won't let you add more at the table :-|

Great beignets just don't venture into the bathrooms!!!
Second time here with a to go order and I was very unsatisfied! My biegnets were hard as a rock! I guess I will go to Shipley's in Houston!
