Each cabin offers a private hot tub, full sized fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and much, much more. One of our cabins is pet friendly. We're located on 80 private acres near the Shawnee Wine Trail, Giant City State Park, Crab Orchard, Cedar and Little Grassy Lakes. We had a wonderful time! It is in a perfect location close enough to go out and eat or buy groceries and cook your own. Some our favorite things were hanging out in the cabin, hiking, kayaking, playing tennis, going to the movies, finding some good consignment shopping, the pet deer, and having our own hot tub. It was so nice to be close to everything and yet have a quiet out of town feeling place to stay.
We LOVED it! So very peaceful and relaxing.

Cabin on the hill is “our happy place” in Southern Illinois! It’s a great home away from home to relax, laugh and enjoy nature. Great food and hiking nearby if you want to go out. Enjoy the farm animals, campfire and farm fresh eggs for breakfast at the cabin. This time we went out to our favorite Moes, tried Fujiyama (awesome) for dinner, the always delicious Giant City Lodge, went to BlueSky Winery and Starview Vinyard, hiked at Garden of the Gods, enjoyed wine in the hot tub and our fireplace in the cabin. My husband and I spent a wonderful winter weekend here! I couldn't imagine a more adorable place. The animals were entertaining, and the accommodations were peaceful, clean, and oh-so-comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to the Southern IL area!
