We have been coming to Cabin on the Hill for several years now. We absolutely love it here! The cabins are beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. The owners Dan and Jill are so nice and they do such a great job of keeping everything looking great. We mostly like to stay in Cabin 2 but have stayed in the Premier Cabin a handful of times when we have a larger group with us. Such a beautiful location! Property is very clean, comfortable, and well managed. Have stayed many places over the years in Southern Illinois and this was by far, one of our favorites.
If you want a very nice place just to get away and relax. This is the place. Very friendly owners and exceptionally kept cabins. There are many animals including horses, goats, peacocks and deer that you can get very close to. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. This is our second stay here.
My husband and I just came back from spending our 1 year anniversary this was our second trip to the cabin we just love it and are planning on coming back just one suggestion is to replace the mattress in the cabin it just about killed my husbands back.
The cabin itself was very nice, but the owner had very poor customer service. She sent a very impolite email to us after our stay, which didn't even thank us for staying. It's a shame because the cabin was very nice but we will never stay again.
I am a light sleeper, so the daily 6am visits from the peacocks and Guineas was unwelcome even with earplugs. My husband and I found the beds to be uncomfortable and noisy, so we went to Walmart and bought air mattresses. Other than the above mentioned, we had a restful stay and appreciated being able to bring the dogs, one of which has separation anxiety.
Went here for our anniversary and loved it. Just what we needed. Very romantic and quiet. We will be coming back soon!!!!!
