Each cabin offers a private hot tub, full sized fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and much, much more. One of our cabins is pet friendly. We're located on 80 private acres near the Shawnee Wine Trail, Giant City State Park, Crab Orchard, Cedar and Little Grassy Lakes. RecommendedSuch a wonderful, clean, and peaceful environment. I met up with the owner while looking at the animals. He gave us a dozen eggs. Close to town but far enough to be “off the grid”.
The perfect weekend getaway for our family! The cabin is beautiful and clean, the property is fun for kids with animals, climbing structures and room to run! We especially enjoyed the peaceful view from the front porch and the relaxing hot tub in the back. The owners have thought of everything!
Myself and my daughter visited this amazing, beautiful, peaceful little piece of heaven this week. It was a mother daughter getaway for my daughters 15th birthday. It was an absolutely wonderful and relaxing time for us. Waking up to all the wonderful animals and the breeze in my hair as I drank my coffee on the deck was exactly what we wanted. Absolutely beautiful- perfect getaway!
We stayed in the Red cottage which has recently been remodeled. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. Jill and Dan are very accommodating and inviting. The grounds are amazing! I especially loved the on site trial, getting to feed the animals and farm fresh eggs for breakfast. The amenities are above and beyond what you would find at a regular hotel or other cabins we’ve visited. We had an excellent time! Be sure to check out the Akbash Trail and #gnomechallenge as well as a little story time in the woods.
Amazing cabin with everything thought of! Also super clean! It was a perfect relaxing trip. I recommend this to anyone looking for a nice getaway. Duke and Hank are super sweet! The trail was fun (although we only found 8 gnomes 😝). The farm was fun too. We cannot wait to come back again. ❤️
Cabin on the Hill is phenomenal getaway from the world! With private hot tubs in the cabins and being close to so many amenities we will keep coming back here, it was my second time here. About an hour and twenty from Garden of the Gods and really close to the Shawnee Wine Trail check it out! You won't be disappointed. The farm has great appeal with an array of beautiful animals, though Hank and Duke are probably our favorite. A beautiful spot.
A marvelous place to relax. Quiet and tucked out of the way but still close enough to Carbondale to pick up food from local restaurants. Cabin was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Loved all the wildlife and just sitting on the porch watching the sunset and the rain. The owners dogs came to check on us each morning and were very friendly. The walking trail was peaceful and well kept. Enjoyed little surprises along the way. We had a wonderful weekend away. Recommend to anyone!
