my husband's favorite bar. It takes him back to his college years playing on pinball machines and drinking with his buddies and ME of course:)
Don't pay attention to any of the old reviews. I've been going here consistently for at least three years and the food and service is ALWAYS the best. All the servers are prompt and efficient. And, oh my god, the food is the best. I always look forward to new menu items--they are well priced and so good. I can't imagine why someone would write a negative review.
great little bar – My husband and I first went here about 3 yrs ago while waiting for a table at Yokos before they renovated and moved into the old corner store space. AT first we made fun that the "C' stood for something not so pleasant to say because the female bar tenders were the epitome of that word. But now the employees have changed and we love coming here for late night munchies and cocktails and the pinball machines. SE PDX's newest brunch place – C Bar just opened for brunch. My girlfriend and I usually hit them up for a late night drink, and since our first visit, we knew that it would be our neighborhood drinking spot. But now they are doing brunch. So girlfriend, dog and I had to hit it up. Great service, great food, and always full cup of coffee, and full water bowl for the pooch. Try the Dirty Englishman. YAY C BAR!!
waist of your time – To be fair I'll start by saying I've been in the service industry for 15 years. My wife and I try to support neighborhood establishments. The third and last time we ventured in to the Cbar we sat at a table because the bar was full (our haunt of choice). After 15 minutes I went to the bar to order drinks. After receiving our drinks at the bar, I asked for a bar towel to clean our filthy table, and was handed a DRY bar towel. Very unsanitary: a little bleach please. Bad service – Service is abominable
Astonishingly bad on so many levels – Possibly the worst service in portland. Aggressive and ignorant, mounds of attitude and the tiniest little teaspoon of efficiency. I suppose once the inevitable happens and this place folds, the bartender might get a job as the resident mean old lady at the nearest prison cafeteria--but it seems unlikely. Even prisons have hiring standards.
Great neighborhood Bar – Good pizza, good drinks, nice atmosphere, air is free of smoke, nice staff. They can be slow sometimes, but that was when I ordered a specialty drink that took a little more effort.
tasty food, nice environment, staff are hotties – This bar is a great place to chill with your friends. They have some good beer/ cocktail options and usually have pretty awesome art/ music. The prices are decent for a bar, and the food is unique and tasty.
