9 years ago this dentist RUINED my mouth. After never having a cavity, all of a sudden, I had 6. He wanted to do them all the same day. My bite hasn’t been the same since. It’s been horrible and now I’m deathly afraid of the dentist. I’ve only gone for cleanings. He was HORRIBLE. And after reading other reviews, a scammer. 6 cavities seems to be his MO.
TL;DR; Shady doctor that suddenly disappeared. I went to Burgess Dental center on 17 ave Calgary, AB on late 2017. I read some negative comments about this office on Google but I didn't take them seriously. After first visit he listed a ton of expensive work for me and he insisted they should be done before end of year. On second and third visit I felt he's pushing it too hard and that was a red flag for me; so I cancelled all my upcoming appointments. THIS PLACE WAS A JOKE. DESTROYED 3 TEETH WHICH WILL COST ME THOUSANDS.
I wish I'd posted on here earlier about my experience at Burgess Dental back in September 2015, which unfortunately echoes many of the negative reviews posted here. I popped in simply because it was convenient and close to my office. Apart from the previously-noted creepy factor, I was also told I had MANY (I think 6) cavities, which were stains that I'd had for many years. Extremely creepy doctor. He and his assistant keep lingering in the room until you give in and book an appointment. Over the past little bit his staff has changed SO many times, this says a lot about the doctor and the kind of person he is. His wife manages the clinic and I heard her talking to her front end staff like they were two year old children getting instructions from their mother. I have had extensive work done with Dr Burgess. He put in 12 crowns and completely changed my smile. My teeth are amazing! He is an artist. As well, he is kind and caring. He also helped me fight my terrible insurance company that thought you could plaster a face full of splintered teeth together. I would recommend him 100%. I sent my friend to him after she had crowns. Her dentist did nowhere near as good a job so dr Burgess filed hers down and shaped them nicely.
Every time I go to Burgess Dental I feel that I am well taken care of. Dr Burgess always spends the time talking to me and explaining things thoroughly. Everybody is nice and I enjoy my visits.
RecommendedBeen here last friday and the service was good. I suppose to come back Monday afternoon but something has come up and need to cancelled it. #FirstTime
My whole family has been going to Dr. Burgess for years and we have been very happy with the service. The dentists and hygienists at Burgess Dental take good care of my teeth. The staff are always friendly.
