Had an amazing experience at Burdett for the birth of my daughter!! Everyone was amazing and very great at bedside manner/patient care. I’m so happy I choose Burdett as my birthing center even if my birthing plan didn’t go as planned! (Breech baby ended up with a Csection as opposed to my water birth I wanted). Oh well, it happens and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received!!
I had my baby boy Lake here in December at Burdett and I could not have asked for a better experience! Dr Gottesman was so kind and so patient with me! All of the nurses (Jackie, Kara, Heidi, Susie, Bridget, and many more of you) were wonderful and very very helpful, especially with the blue lights my baby had to go under because of jaundice. Beyond hated it! The nurses lack patient care skills. One of the nurses walked out of my labor room calling my boyfriend a “fucking asshole” after refusing to leave the room while standing there with the door open until my mom moved her car .. all as I was pushing my son out who’s heart rate was dropping! My doctor came into my delivery room with a blanket wrapped around her And my son lacked oxygen after birth for hours because of negligence. I also wasn’t offered a wheel chair when leaving. I had an amazing birth experience at Burdett, my water broke a month early so I was very anxious when I arrived. Every nurse we interacted with was so sweet and compassionate, they are definitely in the right career field. Jean my triage nurse and Danielle my delivery nurse were extraordinary. Our little peanut had to spend sometime in the nursery, but I was able to rest knowing Danielle was taking care of him. I would recommend Burdett to anyone I know. Thank you for giving me a great birth story!
Our son was born at Burdett this past Tuesday morning after an induction, we were also working with Capital Region Midwifery. The staff was fantastic, super kind, attentive, and patient. I have GAD and depression and during our stay I didn't feel rushed, they were by our side when I needed help, didn't push any decisions on us, and all around fantastic care!
