I have only been a member for about a month, I love this place. Let me explain why: This gym is within walking distance from my work. I can go before the office, this is perfect. I hate going to the gym after work as they are too crowded, especially right around the new year. So I get up around 4:30, drive from the west side and drop my work stuff off at the office and hit up a 6am Spin class. The energy surge I get from class lasts me all the way until around lunch when I either have some coffee to keep me going a couple mo... read more

It's fine for what it is. Yes, there's a pretty stank sweat smell as you walk in. Yes, there are slack-faced dudes at the reception desk. Yes, nobody re-racks their weights. These things are true. It's like every other gym I've ever been to. (Like Bally's Studio City and North Hollywood, Gold's, etc) On the plus side, they have a lot of free weights. And a couple of squat racks. The locker room is decent, if a bit small. (Though if anyone from the gym is reading this---a shower water filter would be amazing. They're cheap an... read more

Yes, this gym is a one star gym. It is cheap, but I think you get even less than what you pay for it. After work hours (between 6 and 8 pm) you cannot even work out here, it is so crowded, I have never ONCE worked out on a cardio machine because they are just not available. This place is dirty, and covered in sweat. There is even sweat in the air. And that is because their AC broke last summer and it hasn't been working right since. They did nothing for all of the people that couldn't stand to work out here during those unbe... read more

I love this gym. Good equipment, friendly staff, and comfortable environment. Half the price of what other gyms charge for membership.

It's a nice little gym. The people that work at he Palm location are nice,  but corporate is a different story. Make sure when you sign a year contract you note that you have to give a SIXTY DAY cancellation of contract notice, regardless of when your contract is scheduled to end and make sure that you note when that date is, because they certainly won't send you any mail letting you know it's coming up.. Oh and don't expect corporate to give you any helpful information unless you find, "I didn't write it. I just enforce it.... read more

I have been a member of BAC for years - actually since it was World Gym. There are 2 locations - one in the Media Center in the heart of downtown Burbank and another at Victory and Hollywood Way.  Both locations have all the right stuff for a great workout, from the latest equipment to all the hardcore free weight stuff (which I actually don't use personally.... but do work out near it and see the bigger, stronger folks enjoying it).   The Media Center location offers lots of classes as part of the regular membership.  I per... read more

You get what you pay for. It's super cheap. The TVs and headphone jacks don't work often.  There aren't enough mats or space to use them.   The temperature in summer is unbearable. Yoga, Zumba and Pilates classes cost extra. Did I mention it's super cheap? So are the trainers. My husband and I really like our trainer.

Meh worth the price. Paying ten bucks a month to use a treadmill and lift some weights a few times a week is worth it.  No where near the cleanliness, modernness, or professionalism of say a 24 hour fitness but 1/3 of the price.   During peak hours it is tough to get a machine.  Very hot and poor ventilation.  TVs and/or headphone jacks on the machines worked about half the time.  Staff made me feel awkward and unwanted when arriving and are more concerned with texting and chatting about inappropriate things with each other ... read more

If you want to be treated like a piece of garbage this is your place.  The equipment is in poor condition and is generally covered with layer of sweat. When I attempted to speak with someone about the issues I observed I was told that I was the only person complaining about it. Their representative was condescending and not even willing to pay lip service to the idea of checking out my complaints. You could not provide worse customer service if you tried. Whatever you do don't sign any long term deals with these people. They... read more
