This was the start of our road trip, stopped here after a 2 hour drive. We had to have " fried green tomatoes ". We ordered 8, so so filling, we both had pies after which were great. Very quaint and great atmosphere. We had to wait 20 mins because of a church outting took over, but that was no bother..
Went there, just me, no one else, didn't look too busy but they had a private party downstairs. There was seating outdoors and inside. I asked the server where to sit and was told I could sit anywhere but she also rudely told me it would be atleast 15 minutes before she could even get to me and she had other tables to take care of. I'm from out of town an this place looked good, clearly not well run. If you have a large private party, don't have the entire restaurant being ran by two servers. The atmosphere was okay. However the place was fairly empty, and service was slower than one would normally expect. We both had burgers and both were over cooked and dry. The worst part of the experience was our waitress pointed out a cockroach to a man ( possibly the owner) and he laughed, killed it and moved on. Just a few minutes later there was another full size roach, that we pointed out to our waitress. She again notified the same man and he had someone else possibly on staff kill it and pick it up. "Upon entering the bar side the bartender/server was very pleasant. There were only 2 other customers in the bar side at the time. We arrived at about 1:15 (I know this because my husband took a picture of his beer and texted it to a friend). She got our drinks pretty quickly and both were good. I know she had some outside tables because the weather was great. After about 10 mins. she came back to get our food order.
