Hip and casual dining spot for fresh, affordable Pan-Asian fare. – The Scene This sun-drenched, airy dining room is welcoming and bright. Funky, oversized paper lanterns and a giant Buddha statue add liveliness to the simple space. Outside, lush bamboo shields the patio from busy Beverly Boulevard. Servers cater to neighborhood locals with friendly efficiency. The Food Popular Asian dishes are gussied up with fresh ingredients. Seaweed salad, a mixture of wakame and hijiki in a tangy sesame-ginger dressing, is cool and refre... read more

Scrumptious! – Buddha's Belly offers consistent service and wonderful cuisine. It's a great spot for a girls' night out or a weekday dinner date. The miso-infused eggplant is a yummy starter and the albacore-avocado spring rolls are delicious. For the main course try the spicy peanut noodles -- they are rich, but divine. On the lighter side, the cod entree is a favorite of mine and is served bento box style with sides of pickled cucumbers, ginger-edamame rice and steamed broccoli.

Good, reasonably priced food, very creative! – This is the second time I've been to this place (I visited the restaurant in Santa Monica, that just opened). I find the food very creative in taste and presentation. The Rock Shrimp Tempura was insane--so good and very beautifully presented. I had the Tom Yum Koon which had a lot of flavor. My boyfriend had the Green Curry, which was good over all, though I found the chicken to be a little bland. The food was served hot, almost too hot, actually. The service was excellent. Ever... read more

A favorite – A great restaurant with good food, reasonable prices (for food and alcohol) and lively atmosphere. I have enjoyed everything I've tried on the menu -- but the seared ahi tuna salad and singapore seafood noodles are favorites. It can get loud inside, so you may want to sit outside if you are looking for quieter conversation. I have taken many out of town guests here and they have enjoyed it as well.

Unauthentic. Everything tastes bland. – I found the food to be bland. I've eaten at this place twice because the atmosphere looks amazing, but I've always been disappointed with the food.

Wonderful in Every Way – I love this place. Been coming here for years, and it's just consistently great. Fast, friendly service , tasty food, and one of the best values in the city. Grab a Mojito first(made with soju), then try the albacore/avocado spring roll. On a cold night, go for a huge bowl of spicy Tom Yum ramen with a side of coconut milk-freakin delicious. The black cod and the Yakisoba noodles are also highly recommended. I just moved to an office down the street, so I've also grabbing lunch here at least twice a ... read more

Buddha's Belly has a good niche – It was my 1st time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. Items I'd recommend: Mojito (made w/ soju) - a must-have, and the Ahi Tuna Burger - nicely cooked and great sweet potato fries. The so-so items: appetizers - all right but portions were small, Tom Yom Koon ramen, Spicy Beef salad - dressing could have been more flavorful. The patio was wonderful on a cool LA evening, and service was attentive and prompt.

Great food – I'm still thinking about the Tuna Burger I had here on Saturday night. The food was great, and the waiter was very helpful and attentive. I definitely recommend Buddha's Belly.

Average Asian cuisine. – Saturday's night at Buddha?s belly.... The service was good, the sitting was fast even without reservation and the food was OK, we had the tuna tartar which was a little bit dry, the black cod which was a little bit over-cooked and the Korean steak was just OK, the best thing was the green tea shrimp tempura salad which was one of the specials. Overall this restaurant is worth to try if you are in the area but it isn?t worth a return trip, there are some other Asian restaurants with better dishes and... read more
