Really enjoyed the atmosphere and offerings at Buckley's. I have dined on numerous occasions, both in large groups and as a party of two. Every time as a party of two, the service did not offer the same great experience as it did with the group. It was almost as though we were an inconvenience and were pushed to the side. Lastly, the people who answer the phone need some lessons in decorum.
We often eat lunch there on a Monday, my husband's day off. The food is always excellent and plentiful. The wait staff has always been efficient and friendly. If I have any complaint it is that my coffee isn't refilled as often as I would like, but that is a minor thing and the wait staff will get it if I ask. I just like it refilled with them doing the asking.
I have to say normally i love this place, but last weekend we had the worst server ever. Everything started out great and went downhill after that. We got the wrong food because the server put our order in wrong and the this person did nothing to check back on our table as far as more drinks. We even had to get another server to get our bill. Very sad
First time at Buckley's Tavern, and the last. The waitress mumbled, took our order and shuffled away. A guy served our meals. Mine did not come with everything listed on the menu description; my husband's was not as he ordered. The waitress was nowhere to be found. She shuffled back much later and picked up our plates. Although the food was only 1/2 eaten, she did not ask how everything was, did not offer coffee, dessert or anything. Very unwelcoming experience.

Met friends for dinner here after having a great lunch experience a few months ago. My second trip did not disappoint- excellent service and amazing food. Also loved that our table was right in front of the fireplace where we felt like we had the fire all to ourselves. This place is a gem!
