About this business

This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state, and it has been in operation for more than a century. Serving since 1893, this national historic landmark has seen countless wild west icons having a meal here, including the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. Be aware that the dining room walls are flanked by animal trophy heads, which some diners find as uncomfortably distracting. The menu offers some eye-opening fare such as rattlesnake, yak and fried alligator tail. If you prefer the traditional cuisine, tenderlo... read more

Highly recommended. The food is worth the price and the decor is so unique and lots of history.

This iconic landmark is an experience beyond just food. We just moved from PA two weeks ago and, stumbled upon this place by complete accident. It was delicious, very reasonable and offered a lot to look at. Can't wait to take our kids and visitors back!!

I have lived in Denver most of my life and had never been to the Buckhorn Exchange. Unfortunately , I was extremely disappointed . Food was over priced and not very good. The service and atmosphere were fine. If you pay $45 for prime rib, you would expect it to be at least flavorful. I will not be going back nor would I reccomend it to others.

Extremely disappointed in the food. Service was pretty good and friendly. maybe it was a off night when I went there. I do not plan on returning nor would I recommend this place.

Business response:

Hi Patrick, it is very upsetting to see you did not enjoy your meal. While it is great to see the service was good, we pride ourselves on our food as well. We would love if you could emailinfo@buckhorn.com with some more details on what was disappointing so Bill Dutton the General Manager can get back to you.
