About this business

This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state, and it has been in operation for more than a century. Serving since 1893, this national historic landmark has seen countless wild west icons having a meal here, including the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. Touristy, food was not terrible, but service good have been better. Would prefer to go to some of the other steak houses in the area. My husband did not like his salad and the bread came out cold vs. fresh and warm.

Happy hour is always amazing. The best Rocky mountain Oysters in the land. Martin is an awesome bartender.

My friends and I decided on this restaurant not knowing it was one I had previously been describing to them. The animal decor adds to the ambiance and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. If there is any complaint it's that you onlyhave room to pick one dish (and to clarify-they do have 2 meat combos such as elk/buffalo tenderloins, etc.) Portions are good sized and you shouldn't leave hungry. A definite go-to spot in Denver!
