I've had nothing but good experience with State Farm and my agent. Prompt communication, updated tech for convenience. Premium is a little high.

On Nov.1 I was going through my bank statement and was frustrated by an extra payment that had been coming out of my account for the past 5 months of $292.00. I just got married, so at first I assumed that it was my new husbands policy, but when I did the math I realized that two large payments shouldn't be coming out of my account like that. I called my State Farm office in Reno, NV ( Nancy Jones) and asked. The secretary Meagan ** ********answered and kind of gave me the run around. She made me feel as if I were lying beca... read more

Business response:

In response to the complaint on the office of Nancy Jones State Farm Insurance Agency from Kristin ****: The transaction was done in error, and Meagan & Carri did apologize to Kristin several times on the phone, in person, and by email. We did not give Kristin the run around, nor did we treat Kristin like she were lying! State Farm billing department asks for the bank statements to show proof, not us. We do not work in the accounting office, and we do not pull money from clients bank accounts here at this office, State Farm ... read more

Dave Reighly Retired a year or more ago and his accounts were transferred to other Agents. Ours was transferred to Krina Mallgren located at Sprague and Evergreen Spokane Valley, WA. I am semi retired and my car is small and does not take up a full parking space where I work at McDonalds Restaurant 819 Sullivan Spokane Valley, WA. My husband and I have been with State Farm for 25 plus years. On Sept 17, 2018 I got off work around 4:40 PM. I still had my foot on my brake and was being very careful because drivers come from 3 ... read more

It has been over a month and a half since my vehicle was in an accident. I give 2 stars to be nice because the ease of filing a claim and customer service has been helpful when I call but just completely disappointed that they are "trying" to find used parts for my vehicle which has maybe 8,000 miles on it. Just to cut costs I'm sure, now my vehicle has not even been worked on to this point. Very disappointed with State Farm, especially since I have been a customer for over 10 years.

Their agents are nice and helpful, but any claims go to corporate, where you are dealt with like scum of the earth. Been a loyal customer since 1995, but luckily I will not be a State Farm customer anymore after the way my total loss claim and myself was treated. They have more than made up my small loss throughout having +/-5 cars insured each month. Run away from them as fast as you before you have to deal with a claim. Their claims team are a joke and the good people of the team cover up for the bad ones by not reporting ... read more

After my brand new Honda Civic was damaged in a collision, State Farm refused to cover the costs of two electronic assessments that are specifically required by my vehicle manufacturer. Honda requires, if any electrical component must be disconnected in order for post-collision repairs to be performed, that the vehicle must undergo a post-repair diagnostic scan to confirm that the previously disconnected electrical components have been reconnected properly and are functioning. In my case, one of the electrical components tha... read more

State Farm was fine until I filed a claim from an auto accident. While the vehicle was at the body shop, a mechanical issue was discovered that was not there prior to the accident. The mechanic believed that it was caused by the impact. State Farm representatives suddenly become hostile toward both me and the mechanic. They were exceedingly rude and pejorative. One fellow even accused the mechanic and me both of being untruthful. Such unprofessional behavior does not belong in customer service.

My mother had state farm for home owner's and auto ins. She recently passed away. When her house sold the home owner's ins. was dropped. Which in turn added a charge onto the auto insurance which was paid every 6 mos. Unaware of the charge the auto insurance was dropped. Uninsured motorist hit her car in the meantime. They were unwilling to do anytaqahing to help except take more money from me. After taking the extra $ for additional charges they said it was too later and after the fact. Even though they knew the circumstanc... read more

I recently moved my RV insurance to State Farm from Geico after receiving a quote that was approximately 25% cheaper. After canceling the policy with Geico, and the policy had started with State Farm, they sent me a notice in the mail stating that my initial quote was incorrect and that my premium would be going up. I spoke with my agent and he apologized for the error, but stopped short of giving me the price that was quoted. In short, those at State Farm thinks it is ok to quote a price, then charge more than was quoted.

Business response:

We will review and contact Jeromy Hogue. Thank you.
