Average ... thats all – It is a fun idea but overall the experience is average. It is good for groups unless you need to set a menu ... then it becomes overpriced. The food was about the same quality as any other chain italian food place. The themed rooms are kinda fun but get old if you go there more than once.

not good for picky eaters or kosher! – I went there w/ a large group of people, all adults, amongst whom were a couple of guys with picky palates. We had to get a lot of food so that everyone could have something they liked, PLUS, I can't eat pork-- i'm not Jewish, just allergic. Everything had pork! All the meatstuff-- spagetti, meat manicotti, meatballs were mixed beef and pork, and the potatoes had bacon.... I was stuck eating cheese ravioli... oi the bloating! and the spicing involved is very bland. nothing very exciting... read more

Great food...good for large parties. – Finally a inexpensive italian restaurant in Austin that has great food. The dishes of course are large and made for 1+ but it is so inexpensive you just have leftovers for later. Service was great and the server was more than willing to answer questions and talk to the chef when we asked for a substitution. If your having a big party call and reserve the "pope" table that seats 20. It's also nice for a romantic dinner w/h your date. Can't say enough about how good Buca di Beppo is overa... read more

REAL Italian Food – This is my favorite restaraunt in all of Austin, which says a lot being that there's several great restaraunts here in Austin. The prices are great, the dishes are to die for and everyone that works there is very outgoing. You won't be disappointed with this pick. Oh yeah, did I mention the atmosphere, very romantic and fun at the same time!!

Mediocre food, Mediocre service – I have worked in the food service industry for quite some time, but have never really been to a place like Buca Di Beppo before. A very interesting concept to serve in traditional family sized food portions like many Chinese restaurants, but the bulk food carried with it a bulk sized taste. From the Appetizer to the Entree, all the food seemed to be lacking any real taste. Additionally, despite being at the chef's table (in the kitchen) which requires reservations, the service was slow, and ... read more

Buca di Busto – My husband and I had a very bad experience at Buca di Beppo. We had never been there before to the high concept dining establishment, and were suckered into buying an $8 pan of salty, nasty garlic bread. The entrees, mannicotti and spaghetti, were edible--but not better than I could have produced with a can of Ragu and a pot of good intentions. All in all, the place was all concept and no substance.

Should have gone to the Olive garden – Took my brother here for his birthday. was very dissapointed. Over priced under flavored food. Saw that this was listed as a romantic restaurant and that just made me laugh.

$80 Lunch-Family of 4 – Food was very good. Lots of food. But because the way the food must be purchased it cost our famiy of 4- $80 for lunch. 1-appetizer 2-entrees 4- sodas (non-alcoholic) plus tip = $80
