Took my mom a couple of weeks ago because she was having trouble breathing the staff on that shift were super great I know sometimes its busy in there and some people don't have a good experience I know some staff members need to be more friendly busy or not ppl come in there sick and scared just be nice to then no matter how busy the place is also I noticed a lack of Spanish speaking ppl on staff even if its a receptionist or someone on staff that u can call especially around the emergency area. This shit hole left a heart patient complaining of chest and arm pains in the waiting room for well over 4.5 hours. Brought him into the triage room saying "we've got a full house so let's talk in here" ( mind you I had seen 4 people discharged and nobody called back) He then proceeded to disregard all the of the issues and say your arm hurts because of coughing. I'm just leaving Brooks helped me a lot I feel a lot better, I like the hospital besides me being born here I feel like they do their best to make you feel as comfortable as possible
I feel a need to publicly thank all those at brooks, from the staff to the nurses and doctors who were there for my daughter and I after a 36 hour labor that ended in an emergency c section. I had been up 27 hours and when they rushed my unresponsive daughter into the elevator into surgery before my eyes, I lost it in the waiting room. I was so frightened and had no experience with a c section. I had so many nurses, some not even ob nurses and not only nurses but staff members who had noticed I had been there so long. Worst place to come when your hurt. They treat you like a junkie waisting their time. Truely mean people. I left in tears and in pain.
Best hospital experience I've had here back in September! I've been too Childrens and Mercy prior because I am from the Buffalo area....they don't even compare to the care I was given at Brooks. Dr. Alexis, and Nurse Sara were amazing and made sure I was well taken care of before they sent me back with my boyfriend to SUNY Fredonia, knowing very well I was on my own. Being a Diabetic has it's downsides, but its comforting knowing that if another Dia-mergency occurs Brooks has my back. Very very pleased with the care I receiv... read more
