How many menus??? – I can understand a different menu for the dining room and then other areas but THREE? We had to stand there and quickly read and somewhat decided what we MIGHT eat in order to figure out where we were going to sit. This felt awkward and silly. I suggest the SAME menu for the bar and pub so one is only stuck with one quick decision before being sat. Also, where's the flavor? What happened? – Pre-remodel: cozy, friendly, excellent food/service. Post-remodel: snooty, rude, poor service, mediocre food, impersonal. I am sad to have lost a great hang-out spot.

User review by kersplat – I like this place, but the acoustics are a nightmare! Be prepared to have trouble holding a conversation, due to the extreme noise level.

good beer-horible service – BBP is worth the trip if you appricate the quality beer that the rose city can produce, however, if you are looking for a quality dining experience, go somewhere else. BBP has by far the worst service in this city, in the pub and also for the kegs to go part of their business. But I guess I deal with the horible service for the reward at the end.

getting better – We hadn't been to Bridgeport for several years, the beer was always a bit too warm and the pizza was just better than average. We went over the weekend and things have really changed. The pizza is now thinner and crisper, almost NY style. It was exceptionally good. The beer is also colder, and the IPA is much better here on draft than anywhere else, and allot better than from the bottles. The only downside is the place is crowded, and the upstairs is warm. Bridgeport Experience – I found the food to be over rated and over priced mediocre pizza. The service was terrible. I have never seen so many workers so miserable and unhappy in the beer industry. The only saving grace to the menu was the IPA. Generally, pretty good. But I recommend going across the river to Widmer or over to Portland Brewing. At least you can get a smile from someone in the waitstaff.

Too hot inside – Bridgeport has good beer but it's too hot inside to drink beer. There are only a few tables outdoor and so you need to find a table close to a fan, otherwise you will be sweaty after a while.

best brewpub in portland – empitome of portland. good pizza and awesome beer. really cool large buliding, ideal for groups and events. beautiful outdoors seating but the neighborhood is kind of smelly...

Pleasant port in a storm – I've enjoyed both the beer and the pizza at this brewpub. I'll admit to not being a native of New York, which means my opinion as to the pizza will be viewed by some as suspect. But I've had crisp pies, with ample and tasty toppings. One caution: if you add the jalapenos as a topping, be prepared for a very spicy pie. Bridgeport is very generous with those peppers. The place could use a larger menu selection, for those few who were brought up wrong.
