I entirely recommend Dr. Mellis, and am very grateful for his care with my quadriceps knee tendon repair. He scheduled me quickly after my injury, and everything was straightforward. I am doing well and feel that I have been truly helped by Dr. Mellis. Thank you very much.
Dr. Mellis does not deserve such a low rating. I've never had a problem with him. He replaced my left knee and he did an excellent job. I was one of his first patients here in Marion. I've had him ever since. His Surgery skills are excellent. I have never left the office mad but satisfied. The only issue I have is getting in when I'm in pain with my hips and need injections. I need a same day appointment but usually he and his assistant is booked.
I was referred to Dr Mellis by Urgent Care. It took several days to get an appointment. When I went in he gave me a prescription for Celebrex but I wanted to know what was wrong with my knee. I finally got him to agree to an MRI on my knee. His office never once followed up.on my results. I had to find a different orthopedic doctor. He got my test results the next day and scheduled me for the following day. I had a torn meniscus. I had both my knees replaced this past year. Dr. Mellis did an amazing job and I had a quick recovery. I HIGHLY recommend him. He answered any questions I had at any point in the day, even when he was busy. Much love to him and his family. His daughters are also gorgeous girls!
