He is very arrogant and does not listen to the patient. I had a total knee replacement in July of 2025, as soon as the surgery was complete and I went to lift my leg I felt my knee shift! I asked if that was normal and was told yes! I scheduled an appointment and was told everything was fine! My follow up he said the instability was normal and he left “play room” in my knee! He is one of the best doctors I never had he cares about his patients and he takes the time to lose some of your problems and he hopes you all the way

I have had two complete knee replacements, a shoulder procedure and a total hip replacement done by Dr. Mellis. He is the only person I trust when I need something done. He & Jessica actually care about their patients.

Dr Mellis has done 4 different procedures on my mother. He is patient. He explains things. He answered my multitude of questions each time. He never once said he was too busy to address my concerns, even though the man is always busy. There's also a sense of humor that helps in those trying times. I would recommend him to anyone. God forbid I ever need something done, but if I do, he will be the only one I will allow to do it.
