I called the doctor's office to discuss setting up some sort of a consultation over the phone or Zoom for my elderly mother, but was informed the doctor does not do phone calls and we would have to make an appointment and drive 13 hours to see if the doctor would be able to offer her any hope. She has her back history in MRIs that could be provided so the doctor could preview prior to a call. Absolutely not, said the receiptionist. I truly find that hard to believe.
Had spinal fusion/caging/balancing on 4/17/25. The recovery was long but not extremely painful (don’t over do it). One year later and pain is gone and have resumed almost every activity I did in the past.
The best spine surgeon in Michigan if not the United States. He has operated on me several times. Because of my disease. Highly recommend him. He cares about the patient spends time with them and has a wonderful personality. God bless.
It has been a year since I had cervical fusion done by Dr Ahlgren. I wanted wait to write my review to give a fair and honest one. I had no problem with Dr Ahlgren only with his staff and the hospital Troy Corewell. Everything was fine up to a week before the surgery. Appointments went well and everything went smoothly. I was called and told that my surgery date had to be moved up a week, that the Dr. wouldn't be available on that scheduled date. I said it Ok and went ahead for the new date.
