HistoryThe Boyd Farm has been continuously in the Boyd family for over 100 years, and continues to be a working farm. David J. Boyd and his wife Kate Moody Boyd were large landowners and a prosperous farming family. They had many hundreds of acres of land from the present location to further up Hemphil Road. Great family experience. Beautiful scenery. Wear good shoes because it was a “hike” to get from the vehicle to where the trees to choose from were on the mountain.

Love Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm! It is THE BEST!! But, you must come early (November)- they are selling out earlier each year. Choose from already cut trees, choose your own and let their amazing staff cut it for you, or take a hike and cut your own (what we do!)🎄🎄 They have hand saws for you to borrow. They will blow out your tree and secure it to your vehicle. We look forward to going to Boyd’s EVERY year!!
Be prepared to walk up some steep hills. The staff is super nice especially the guys loading the trees. It’s a bit pricey but the trees and experience were great. It’s nice to know ur helping a local farmer.
Absolutely amazing experience. We might just drive up from Texas every year to come to this farm. Friendly staff and everything about this place runs very smoothly. Highly recommend.
Fantastic and efficient experience. Beautiful, quality trees, attentive staff, and gorgeous landscape. AND dog friendly. Would absolutely recommend this farm to anyone looking to have a memorable and enjoyable time picking out their Christmas tree.
