Boyd and his wife Kate Moody Boyd were large landowners and a prosperous farming family. They had many hundreds of acres of land from the present location to further up Hemphil Road. Friendly staff and there are so many trees to choose from! It has become our family tradition since moving to NC.
We only buy our Christmas trees from Boyd Mountain....the trees are beautiful and it’s such a fun family experience. Even though it was very crowded today they are amazingly efficient with loading trees. We also love the cookies and hot chocolate!!

We’ve been going Boyd Mountain to cut our family tree for almost 10 years now. They have always been gracious and humble to our family. Our children will forever have great memories here and many more as we will continue to return. The staff and the process from cutting your tree to wrapping and even loading couldn’t be better. You won’t find better people anywhere. From our family, The Collins, to the entire Boyd family, workers and all we wish you a Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas!

This is a wonderful place to buy a tree. The people here really take the time to help you find just the right tree. They are so dedicated and knowledgeable making sure that their trees are quality trees. I just love this tree farm. ❤ — with Santa Bryan.
