The place was completely gutted in 2006 and was rebuilt again. The restaurant is famous for its wonderful oysters, seafood platter and shrimps. It takes pride in using the freshest ingredients and the catch of the day is always worth trying out. You can also book private parties at this venue.

I’ve been going to Bowen’s for over 30 years, I was a young lad, we live on Folly and the food just gets better every-time. I have turned many people on to the deliciousness..

A little unconventional, but an amazing spot to eat. Love the rustic feel and the atmosphere...hate we haven't tried it before now!! We'll definitely be back!!!

First time visit was recommended from a local SC native. Was nervous because of the unpacked road and that my car would get lost in the huge puddles from all the rain earlier in the day. Had the seafood platter plus a beverage all for less than $20pp. Fried shrimp was my favorite, huge portion of fried white fish, crab cake, hush puppies, and coleslaw and fries. Would recommend! Don't sit inside on a July day unless you bring a sweat rag! This is a dive restaraunt and bar without air conditioning so be warned!!!
