RecommendedGreat park!!! Well maintained with very friendly and helpful staff! Trails were well marked with resting benches. We can’t wait to go back!!!
We stayed in the screened shelters and they were wonderful! Probably the best of the 6 or 7 parks I've camped in. Lights indoors and out, lots of space for a tent (for the dog, I slept out there with her while the rest of the fam slept inside), windows with latches so you could open and let in a breeze during the day, but close them against the cold at night, and I loved that they didn't have a table inside. Another jewel in the Texas State Park System! We visited this park in an RV. The lakefront sites are very nice. The park was nice and very quiet. We also enjoyed all the wildlife and nature that this park offers. We’ll return again soon!

Right on the water and deer were everywhere
My family has visited this wonderful TX State Park twice in a year’s time and enjoy it immensely. On our quick day use trips we’ve seen deer, rabbits, a bald eagle, and caught great quality bass from the pier. The hiking trails are well-maintained. The kids love the playground and swimming area. There are plenty of picnic tables to choose from. The restrooms are always clean. The Park Rangers are helpful and friendly. We want to use the campsites and enjoy a longer stay at this wonderful place in the near future.
Best camping experience ever! We will be back again and again!
