I booked blue jacket from Australia because I knew I would be meeting a friend in Washington on her birthday. Both of us we very pleased, we had the biggest pork chop I had seen in my life and the server knew the beer list very well. Will definitely be back if ever in Washington again

I visited DC a few months ago and had Sunday brunch here. I was so impressed the first time that I insisted on bringing a friend on our visit this weekend. The food is great, the menu is streamlined and efficient, the beer and cocktails are awesome (I've yet to have wine there, but the wine list had some fantastic-looking choices). My husband and I were visiting DC for vacation and we rode Capitol Bikes down to Navy Yard and were trying to decide which restaurant to eat at when we passed a couple who recommended Blue Jacket. We were not disappointed. It was gorgeous that evening, so we sat outside. There is room outside for 60+ people. Our waitress was extremely busy with all of the tables but we never felt left out. Horrible food and service only plus side was there citra ipa
Burgers were Great! Chilled corn soup was delicious. Beer also was a plus. Had a party of 8 from Philadelphia and we left pleased.
My husband and I had been looking forward to visiting Blue Jacket for months and finally got the chance to this weekend. Our wait was worth it! The brewery is beautiful and the food, beer and service follows suit. Special props to Mike for making our visit from Wisconsin one we'll do again!
