I really liked staying here it was very peaceful and relaxing. The lady mat the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone passing by.
We had a long and harrowing journey up PCH, so once we escaped its confines, we found ourselves in Carmel Valley at this wonderful place. We were welcomed by very kind and helpful girl in the office who guided us to our room which was a pleasant respite complete with a private outdoor patio, my smoking husband appreciated. Lovely, quaint town with quick and easy access (minus traffic to Carmel) to Big Sur and Monterey. Lodge was extremely clean, housekeeping very attentive. Heater in bathroom did not work and it was chilly w/o the heat on but the main heater worked just great. Older establishment but we loved it and were pleased!
It is a very lovely place- nice rooms, great staff and we enjoyed the hot tub so much. Thank you for a very nice stay!

We were in town for a wedding and this hotel was just about perfect. Great location near the village of Carmel Valley, about 20 minutes from central Carmel and the coast. I don't know if it's just retro or retro chic, but either way it was quiet, clean, great pool and communal space with very sweet, helpful owners.
The Blue Sky Lodge is fantastic! Our family had a great time. The hotel and landscaping is beautiful, and from the moment we got there until the moment we left the staff and accommodations at The Blue Sky were first-rate, We had a great suite, with plenty of room for my family. We really enjoyed this place. No microwave or fridge in room but for just15 extra dollars per night you can get access to a fully loaded kitchenette! Also the lobby has some great antiques and old books and magazines. The pool and spa are spotless. Two very nice kitties live there, too.
Carmel Valley is a great contrast to Carmel by the Sea. I enjoyed visiting both, but was very glad to stay at Blue Sky Lodge for its vintage, rustic charm. Very old school hotel/motel, but has a nice pool and hot tub. Very friendly family has been running it for multiple generations, and they have the true California charm. Rooms also have a private sitting area with privacy fences. Surrounding restaurants, Toast and Rustica, we're also good.
