a much more interesting mexican experience than other spots in town – We took our entire family there and had a delightful time; great food and good consistent service and great marguerita's made for a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back!
Rude bartender (not the guy with dreads, the big bald tough-guy one) – Seriously, over the last 3 years of living in baltimore, I've been here at least 25 times, and tonight was the last. 2 and 3 years ago the owner was there all the time, coming by tables, and everything was great. since then, we've seen the food go downhill, but we kept going for a few favorite dishes, the margaritas, and that roasted salsa. finally tonight we stopped by for a drink, sat at the bar, and the meat head bartender wouldn't serve us. just walke... read more
great drinks but crappy food – maybe the best beverage service in town! However don't eat there. The chef aims high but misses by miles.
Shame on You! – Blue Agave is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever experienced. The food at Blue Agave is as authentic as it gets this side of the border. Have you tried the duck dish, or the Carnitas? The Carnitas is just like in Mexico, which I have visited many times. Margaritas are as fresh as they promise. No mixes, no blenders... Worst Food Ever – I have been to Blue Agave twice - once because I didn't know better, and once because I was convinced I should give it a second chance. Both times my meals were absolutely awful, verging on unedible (both chicken dishes). Everything is dry and flavorless and the presentation is painful. I absolutely will never go again, unless it is for drinks - the sangria was very good.
Sometimes amazing, sometimes awful – i love 4 things at blue agave, the sea bass, the burritos, the carnitas, and the margaritas. everything else i've tried was not merely dissappointing, but bad. the most recent waste of money were the fish tacos (dry and no flavor) and the lamb colorado (mutton flavor). service is reliably so-so. all this said, i keep going back for the 4 things i love...
Dynamite night out – The experience at Blue Agave is awesome. Excellent service starts the experience. The margaritas have no competition. Fine mexican cuisine served with flair is a joy to the taste. With over 100 tequilias, the fun goes on and on.
Still the best...hands down! – Traveling is part of my everyday life...and so is eating. I've experienced great Mexican food in Chicago, New York, L.A. and San Fran, but I am always happy to return home and have the best. Blue Agave has never let me down. I have entertained for business, had a few dates and just dined with the girls. Margaritas are unmatched, empanadas are my fav and the lamb colorado is as authentic as it gets. Authentic Mexican – One of the most creative and consistently original restaurants I have ever been to. The food is both flavorful and beautifully presented. The margaritas are absolutely just like in Mexico with fresh lime juice and silver tequila. Even traditional Mexican dishes are so elegently prepared, you feel like its the first time eating them. There are very few restaurants which I repeatedly go to and Blue Agave is absolutely one of them.
