Haystack Hair – the place is cute and clean. however, I agree with another reviewer that the "stylists" seem to lack confidence and experience. They use NO styling products-at least none were offered in blowing out my curly hair! their advertising should say no cut, no color, no products or BYOP. Not so much – Wanted to try it out before I had an urgent need. Not really impressed... my stylist really didn't do as good a job as I do myself. The stylist seemed to lack confidence, had no suggestions. My hair was not completely dry - which I didn't notice until after I was in the car and driving away - so I lost what little volume there had appeared to be when I left, and it started frizzing up within an hour. Great Hair and Great Experience – I went to the Blow Dry Bar the day before a friend's rehearsal dinner in Galveston. My beachy waves looked great and stood up to the humidity and wind of a rooftop party. The owner gave me some tips on how to make the blow out last - sleep in a scrunchy or other cloth covered hair band and use dry shampoo on day 3. Blow Dry Bar - where have you been all my life?! – I tried Blow Dry Bar a couple of weeks ago for a wedding I was attending and was "blown away" by the fabulous experience! Easy to schedule an appt, great location on Westheimer, hip space, and very friendly staff. From their clever "menu" of hairstyles I chose "Shaken" and loved the results.
