RecommendedI’ve been donating since high school with no problems. I went to the Salisbury location this time around and it was a nice experience. LeAnne was very sweet!
I am always happy to come in and donate, but one thing would make it even better: reliable WiFi!!!!! Somewhere there must be a generous corporate donor who would happily upgrade your equipment to improve the donor experience. I know we are trying to attract a new pool of donors and people love/need to be connected. Please help us out. I don’t need T-shirt’s or other swag, I just need a decent internet connection without eating into my own data allowance while I’m onsite.
I wanted my adult daughter to stay with me during my donation time and they said no. They asked me why I wanted her there and I explained my experience is usually 50/50 good or I pass out. The lady just gave me a sassy look and said then why are you even donating blood. I really like helping others with my O negative blood but she made me feel unwelcome and useless for even trying to donate. Almost like you are wasting our time. Plasma donors at the Blood Bank of Delaware saved my great nephew’s life, several years ago. If you give blood or plasma, you can be a life saver!

Gave blood this week and they gave me an awesome, brilliant coral-colored tshirt, part of their summer program! It is a beautiful color! AND everyone was professional, pleasant and grateful as they always are there. Give blood, folks!! It's easy and helps people!

I must admit the transition to new management has not been seamless. Wait times are up and staff turnover is higher than in the past. Requests for calls to register opinions go unanswered.
Sauntres took great care of me today while donating blood. She had such a cheery, upbeat attitude that was contagious.
